ITINERARY:

Costa Rica

Day 1: Welcome to Patagonia

Our journey begins in El Calafate, Argentina. This remote mountain town is accessed by first catching a domestic flight from Buenos Aires. After a full day of traveling, we will feast upon world famous, Argentinian cuisine during our first group dinner followed by a brief orientation to the adventures ahead! After dinner we will explore the town and visit a small museum that discusses the local landscapes and wildlife. Accommodations: Eco-Lodge

Day 2: Glacier Encounter

Today is when the adventure really begins, by heading to the otherworldly Perito Moreno Glacier. This mass of ice rises nearly 800 feet above the surrounding lake. Stroll along the paths and potentially witness sheets of glaciers calving and plummeting hundreds of feet into the azure lake below. A truly awe-inspiring experience! After lunch, strap on a pair of crampons and disembark on an adventure on to the glacier and in ice caves! Accommodations: Eco-Lodge

Day 3: Travel Back in Time

Today we head towards the tiny village of El Chaltén. Along the way, we will travel back in time to hike through a petrified forest where dinosaurs used to roam- real fossils can still be seen today! Exploring the petrified forest is a great way to see a different side of the Patagonia landscape. Tonight we have dinner in the shadow of the infamous Mount Fitz Roy!

Day 4: Fitz Roy Trek

This morning we wake up in the quaint village of El Chaltén with the sun pressing against the jagged peaks of Fitz Roy. Today we will trek through the Los Glaciares National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Today we will set out for an all-day hike into some of the world's most spectacular scenery. This trek will likely be the pinnacle moment of your trip: the unforgettable moment when you see Mount Fitz Roy up close, with its vertical granite walls swathed in sparkling snow and framed by an aqua-marine lake is truly unforgettable.
Accommodations: Eco-Lodge

Day 6: Glacier Kayaking

Today we point our compass south and travel towards Torres del Paine (Towers of Paine). Soaring almost vertically above the Patagonian steppe, the granite pillars of Torres del Paine dominate the landscape of South America's finest national park. After a half day of traveling, we will stretch our legs beneath the beauty of the mountains and into the stunning French Valley. Southern Patagonia is well traveled but in this region, you will feel as though you're on the edge of the world!
Accommodations: Eco-Lodge

Day 5: The Edge of the World

Today we point our compass south and travel towards Torres del Paine (Towers of Paine). Soaring almost vertically above the Patagonian steppe, the granite pillars of Torres del Paine dominate the landscape of South America's finest national park. After a half day of traveling, we will stretch our legs beneath the beauty of the mountains and into the stunning French Valley. Southern Patagonia is well traveled but in this region, you will feel as though you're on the edge of the world!
Accommodations: Treehouse Eco-lodge

Day 7: One Last View

This morning we will hike out from our mountain home and begin our journey back towards El Calafate. Tonight we will watch our final sunset and reflect on the incredible journey we were just a part of. Tonight is our final group dinner. You will have a chance to walk around town to grab any last minute souvenirs to take back to your family and friends.
Accommodations: Eco-lodge homestay

Day: End of the Journey

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end...or do they! Although we head home today, the sights and experiences from Patagonia will be forever a part of your life! Accommodations: Your own bed!

Mike Dann

The Costa Rica trip met and exceeded all my expectations. Accommodations, at all levels, were a wonderful experience. Caving, Ziplining, Rafting, Repelling,Wildlife experiences, Local people. What could be better! The trip was well planned in order of easy experiences to more difficult as the trip progressed. Easing us old timers into it. Cody and Lystina were great hosts, guides, traveling companions and very conscientious for each of the team members.

Steve Blatney

This was hands-down one of the the most exciting, rewarding, and memorable trips I've ever been on! The peace of mind to know that I didn't have to worry about anything was worth every penny. All I had to do was show up. Cody and Lystina took it from there. No stress, no anxiety, no rushing around or wasting time trying to find an activity or a place to eat. I got to sit back, relax, and experience a whole new world that was far beyond my map.

Madisen Gomez

Beyond the map is for sure one of the best travel companies you can go with. Everything they had us do was something I never thought I was capable of! I pushed myself & completed everything & it was just an amazing feeling. The things you see and the people you meet just makes the trip hundred times better! This was my first time in Costa Rica & I don’t think I would’ve had a better experience with anyone else!
